About Me
My name is Stewart Hamilton and I am one of the few female photographers in NYC. I am also an AEA actress and have worked in casting and I think this gives me a unique view when taking photographs. I believe the key to a great shot is getting to know the person, talking with them, making sure they are comfortable and bringing their personality to the shot. I studied photography at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and was a resident artist at "The Château De La Napoule", France. I have worked with professional fashion photographers and am now on my own. I have been working since 1991 and have years of experience working with beginners and pros. I love being a photographer, I enjoy the whole process and I think you’ll have fun, too! |

About the shoot
With most photographers, you pay for the shoot, you pay for the contact sheets, you pay for prints and if you want extras, you pay for them, too. Not with me. All costs are upfront and after the shoot you will be sent a CD with your photos. In the future if you want to print another photo there is no additional charge, you have the CD! Two images will be touched up as part of the shoot in color and in black and white. Any extra photo touch ups have a small additional charge. Cost is individually based, depending on what you need ( i.e., if you need one shot compared with needing five different shots). If you get a group together to shoot the same day, the price decreases per person. So, bring your friends!
Why Digital?
Shooting digitally give us the freedom to shoot more pictures and edit on the spot. The camera I shoot with allows us to immediately look at the photographs on a television screen so that you know we are getting what you want. Also, we shoot in color, giving you the option to print your shot in classic black and white or in color. You will get a CD with all of your pictures, simply bring it to your printer or download the images and send them online. Either way, digital images eliminate the worry of dusty prints, low quality or the prints getting damaged.
